Basic San Tango - 1996 dark buckskin

Tango has earned NRHA money, IBHA points, AQHA points, and several local and regional championships and accolades, in very limited showing. He's a versatile performance horse, working very well on cattle, in reining classes, roping events, and in Versatility Ranch Horse competitions. Athletic, intelligent, handsome, and possessing a friendly calm demeanor, he wins hearts wherever he goes! Even our young grandchildren, all under the age of 6, can be around him with confidence and without fear - he is very careful around youngsters!

Tango is currently in semi-retirement. But he tells us that his career is not completely finished yet, as he still carries his owner in many different types of clinics, and may yet pop out of retirement for some NRCHA work in a new local affiliate and some driving work. He got his start under Bub Poplin of Poplin Performance Horses, NRHA Reserve World Champion trainer, and was shown in Versatility Ranch Horse and Roping under JD Younker. Tango's progeny are showing us that he is passing on his big heart, willingness to work with a can-do attitude, intelligence, athleticism, and friendliness.

This is a stallion that could be that perfect outcross on your performance mares - there is no Doc Bar and no Peppy San Badger in his lineage, which goes back to King and Leo foundation lines.
