WCQ Tri-Quest M58 (aka "Sumac") - 100% ABGA/IBGA SA Boer - Reference Information

His ABGA (American Boer Goat Association) and IBGA (International Boer Goat Association) registered name was WCQ Tri-Quest M58, but we called him Sumac. He was surprisingly gentle for such a large boy, and his kids proved to be the same. A quick look at his first batch of youngsters (under a former owner) was enough to convince us to purchase him as a yearling. His great grandfather was national grand champion, and his grandfather, Oscar, is Ennobled, as are Kaptein and Tsjaka, two of his other grandfathers. He was born in April, 2000, and laid to rest after a serious spinal cord injury sustained while enjoying his favorite activity - breeding does. He weighed in at 395 pounds at his death. His children were consistently large, well conformed, and meaty, putting on weight quickly, and possessing his gentle personality and above average intelligence.
Sumac was the sire of the 2002 Delta County Fair Reserve Grand Champion Market Goat! Pumpernickel, out of Nubian doe Hale (who won First Place in the 5 and over in the Nubian Milking Division, and 3rd overall in the Nubian Milking Group in 2002, as well as First in the 5 and Older milking division and Grand Champion Nubian in 2003!), had a weight of 60 pounds at 4 months of age, and went in the ring at 94 pounds. He also won Second Place in his Market Goat top weight class. Sumac's son Zucchini, also out of a full Nubian doe, was the winner of the 2003 Delta County Reserve Grand Champion Market Goat class, and earned first in his top weight class!
We have several fabulous percentage and full blood does from him, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren certainly carry on his traits as well. His percentage kids have proven to be meaty goats, and the does have his gentle personality as well as wonderful milking and mothering abilities. We, as well as his favorite does, will miss him for years to come. We are very much looking forward to the cross of Dancer and Mr. T on his daughters and granddaughters, as well as our new boy Bulldozer!

Sage was our handsome black and white paint Boer, registered with the IBGA and the ABGA. Born April 2002, he consistently gave us beautiful kids. He gave color as well as conformation and very good weight gains. We've had many solids (blacks and reds) and paints from his efforts, and his market wethers brought very good wean and market weights. "Ennobled" Ubora is in the pedigree and it shows! He was not used as much as he was in his younger days as he made so many nice daughters and granddaughters that he worked himself out of a job. His last kid crop for us produced a solid black 100% daughter with one of our traditional 100% does. Picture above taken July 2007. SOLD! Sage now makes his home with Julie and Samantha Harris in Durango, CO where he has a whole new group of pretty ladies to make pretty babies with.

This well-built gentleman came to us from Windcall Boer Goats. Born April 2004. He produced kids with long toplines and very good weight gains. "Ennobled" Ubora and "Ennobled" Downen Big 85 are a part of his pedigree. He rarely required hoof trimming, usually every couple of years, and exhibited a great deal of parasite resistance, and he passed these traits along to his children.
"Sedum" worked himself right out of a job, as we have kept so many of his well-balanced pretty headed does for our own breeding herd. He has been sold to another breeder to work on siring some more pretty does for future generations of hardy Boers!

Root - 100% Nubian - Reference Information
Root was the son of our first pair of Nubians. Daddy was the largest Nubian buck I've seen, and the line has continued to produce kids that mature to large goats, and very maternal does with great milk production.
Beavis - 100% Nubian - Reference Information

Beavis was a laugh a minute, always coming up with something new to entertain us with. His daughters and subsequent generations are heavy milk producers, and we will be incorporating a double-bred son of his that we have kept back to the Nubian buck line-up in the future.
Peat Moss - 100% Nubian - Reference Information

Peat Moss gave us lots and lots of colorful goats! We were rather used to the brown, tan, and bays produced by the progeny of our first pair of Nubians and all the loud spots and splotches and freckled ears gained a lot of attention! He was also a very large boy, and passed that along as well. He worked himself right out of a job!
